Availability of SAS at Virginia Tech

The SAS^® System is a computer software package used for data management and analysis.  It is currently available to Virginia Tech affiliates for installation on personal and departmental machines under terms of annually renewable licenses from SAS Institute.  The following versions are currently available at Virginia Tech:

• PC Windows -- Version 9.1.2 and Version 8.2
• MAC -- SAS Institute is no longer updating SAS for the Macintosh environment. The most current release available is 6.12.
• Unix -- Version 8.2 for Solaris and AIX

SAS is also available for use on VTAIX, to faculty and graduate students for research applications on the central compute server Dante, and in the computing labs in Torgerson Hall:  Torgersen 1010 and Torgersen 1080.
